Mesa Beirã has its origin in the re-use and re-interpretation of glass bottles, that would otherwise be considered waste and here are revalued as furniture.
The selection of bottles used came from the consumption of Portuguese drinks (wines and liqueur) that are part of the scenery of the Portuguese lifestyle. The choice of these drinks and their bottles goes beyond the simple act of drinking and becomes something more intimate and nostalgic. The epoxy coating of the top “fuses” the glass with the wood. The inner lighting within the top gives the table a whole new dimension. Mesa Beirã is a limited edition of 5+A.P.
