In this production method cork is crafted in a unique way where the physical properties of cork are explored to an utmost aesthetic use. Combining laser cutting technology with a non-pollutant handmade shaping process.
Two dimensional cork sheets are unfolded into three dimensional sculptural objects.
Laser cutting combined with a unique handmade process transform, a cork sheet into a decorative and organic lamp shade where the light reflecting on the cork and slipping through its holes creates a warm and cozy atmosphere.
Its name, Amaterasu, derives from the ancient Japanese sun goddess.
